Physical Description

One of the more colorful clams. Colors can include blues, greens, orange, gold, yellow. Large wide byssus gland opening.

Distribution

Found in shallow areas and reef flats. Normally found burrowed into rock or corals

Aquarium Care Notes

Requires strong lighting, as it is a shallow species. Avoid handling, or moving once byssal threads are attached, as this could seriously harm the clam.
